 An arrest has been made for posting a distorted picture of the Prime Minister on Facebook

A man named Mahbub Sikder (50) has been arrested in Shalikha of Magura district for posting a distorted picture of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh on social media Facebook. Police arrested him from his home on Monday night (February 26).

The arrested Mahabub Sikder is the elder brother of Hussain Sikder, president of Shalikha Union branch of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and chairman of Shalikha Union Parishad (UP).

Confirming the incident, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shalikha Khana Tarak Nath Biswas said, “Accused Mahbub Sikder has been arrested from his house. A case has been filed against him under the Digital Security Act. ”

He further said, “Arrested Mahbub Sikder was handed over to the court on Tuesday. Police are investigating against him. ”
