The ship got stuck in the middle of the sea and returned to Chittagong


The ship is being rescued after its engine failed in the Mediterranean.

The passengers have returned to Patenga in Chittagong.

On Friday morning, the tugboat crew brought the stranded ship Bay One with passengers from the scene. The ship got stuck 17 nautical miles from Patenga.

According to port sources, the Bay One Patenga water bus reached the terminal at 12:30 pm.

Moin Uddin, an engineer at Karnafuli Shipbuilders in charge of Bay One, said, "One of the ship's two engines became useless. One engine could have gone to St. Martin's.

Earlier, the ship left Chittagong for St. Martin's around 10:30 pm on Thursday. After half an hour, the passengers saw smoke on the fifth floor of the ship. They said the engine had been shut down due to smoke.

The ship's passengers said. Arman Hossain said that everyone was terrified when they heard the fire. However, the ship's crew extinguished the fire in a short time.
